Every U.S. Rubber conveyor belt is designed to uphold the toughest environments with specialty compounds. Perfectly formulated and carefully engineered, our belts have resistant properties that are durable enough for any challenge.
Enhanced technical attributes built to withstand
General Purpose
Grade I (RMA I)
This is a premium rubber compound designed for exceptional resistance for cutting, gouging and tearing caused by impact of heavy or sharp materials or the combination of both. This compound exceeds RMA's new Grade I requirements by a considerable margin. Recommended for transporting heavy slab ores, quarts, trap rock, granite, glass cullet, ballast and similar products. Recommended service temperature -30 to 200 degrees F.
Grade II (RMA II)
Recommended for the majority of surface, non-oily/high heat applications. USR Grade II compound approach RMA's new Grade I requirements. Suited for conveying slag, lime rock, coal, bauxite, limestone, crushed rock, sand and other abrasive materials. Recommended service temperature -25 to 180 degrees F.
RUBSTONE Super Abrasion Resistant (SAR)
Recommended for applications where severe abrasion is a concern. Ideally suited for crushed stone, trap rock, copper or gold ore, sinter, coke, log handling, primary crushers and other abrasive materials. Recommended service temperature -30 to 200 degrees F.
Oil Resistant
Super Oil Resistant (SOR)
Highly resistant to mineral oil and most other oils that cause swelling and sponginess. The compound has abrasion, tear, ozone and weather resistance. designed for handling animal or vegetable fats, oily metal parts, etc. Recommended service temperatures -20 to 200 degrees F.
Moderate Oil Resistant (MOR)
Designed to be used in moderately oily environments. Recommended for wood chips, oil treated coal, waste disposal sewage, sludge and whole grains. Not recommended for high impact applications. Recommended service temperatures -30 to 200 degrees F.
Heat Resistant
Heat and Oil Service (HOS)
A heat and oil resistant compound designed to operate in applications requiring resistance to high temperatures and oil. Recommended for hot mixtures containing diesel oil as well as kerosene, petroleum coke, hot asphalt paving mixes and carbon pitch etc. Hot service involving petroleum oils such as oil extractors and plants handling oily grains or seeds where the belt will be subject to vegetable oils, high temperatures and moisture from steam. (This compound often does not work well in hot applications where oil is NOT present) Recommended service temperatures -20 to 250 degrees F for fines, -20 to 350 degrees F for course material over 2 inches.
HEATGUARD Super Heat Resistant (EPDM)
Designed for severe temperature applications where abrasive materials may also be found. Will handle fines up to 350 degrees and lumps up to 400 degrees. This compound does not have oil resistance. Highly ozone resistant and resists hardening and cracking within its recommended service temperature range. Recommended for foundry sand, carbon black, ashes, salt, coke, cinders, castings, slags, and similar products. Working service temperatures -40 to 350 degrees F for fines/ -40 to 400 degrees F for course material over 2".
Flame Retardant
Flameguard (MSHA Underground)
Flame retardant compounds designed for use in underground applications where MSHA 2-G requirements must be met. Suitable for coal, salt, potash and other similar products. Recommended service temperature -30 to 200 degrees F.
Above Ground (FR)
Flame retardant compounds designed for use in surface and above ground applications. Recommended service temperature -30 to 200 degrees F.
Grain Service Preferred (SCORF)
A premium static conductive, oil resistant, flame-retardant compound designed to provide reliable service to all grain markets without a penalty. This elastomer has a high degree of oil resistance. The compound meets ASTM D-378 flame retardant and OSHA requirements. Recommended service temperature -30 to 200 degrees F.
